En s’appuyant sur les témoignages de 13 astronautes internationaux, ce film scientifique enquête dans les laboratoires des plus grandes agences spatiales pour comprendre comment l’ingénierie et la médecine spatiale tentent d’adapter le corps humain aux voyages dans l’espace de longue durée.
Can Homo sapiens evolve into Homo spatius ? How are the bodies of astronauts trained today for the space journeys to come? Thirty years away now from a possible human exploration of Mars, what have we learnt from past travels and what is the state of research in the field?
Based on the interviews with 13 international astronauts, this scientific film investigates in the laboratories of the largest space agencies to understand how engineering and space medicine are trying to adapt the human body to long-duration space travel.
